80 Kilometres outside Windhoek on the Dordabis road (next to Stinkwater), you will find Schaaprust Lodge and Camping on Mouton Family Farm. The last few kilometres to the farm is gravel road but it is easily accessible by a sedan.
En suite self catering facilities
On offer is 7 self catering double rooms, all en-suite as well as a 3 bedroom house, also
en-suite with a kitchen and lounge,
sleeping 6 adults and 3 children.
On the premises you will find a fenced in swimming pool, braai area, looking deck and an entertainment area.
Each of the self catering units have crockery, cutlery, gas stove, kettle, tea and coffee.
Our campsite is up and running!
Luxury tented area
We offer you 12 x tents (2 single beds in each tent) as well as clean and modern ablution
facilities and an outside kitchen and braai area. A few more tents can be added on request.
We also have a boma for those chilly nights and a splash pool for cooling down in the heat.
Bush camp
Situated separate from the lodge and other camping facilities, the bush camp is a great secluded get away camping spot on Schaaprust.
We can accommodate up to 10 people in double tents (5 tents) and you can either bring your own tent or we can set up the tents for you (at an additional cost). No towels, bedding or kitchen equipment included. Bring your own.
The campsite have its own bathroom with inside and outside shower facilities, toilet, outside washing up area and a gas stove.
NO ELECTRICITY
Only solar outside lights for when it gets dark...
There is a splash pool to cool down in during the hot summer months.
Please note that you use all the facilities at your own risk.
Rock camp
The rock camp is situated some distance from the lodge and is an ideal place for your Team building break away, school groups, family reunions, etc.
We can accommodate up to 60 people in 30 shared tents on 2 stretchers.
No bedding or towels included.
Separate ablution facilities for males and females.
Bookings can be made all inclusive with meals (school and business groups) or the kitchen can be rented at an additional cost.
We have an obstacle course for team building ad well as a big rock pool, surrounded by grass and braai facilities.
There is a huge under roof facility to be used for lectures and eating area.
Catering, tables, chairs and crockery can be arranged for private functions.
Please note that as on the rest of Schaaprust Lodge, electricity is solar powered and thus very limited. Do not bring unnecessary electrical equipment i.e. hair dryers.
We recently added The Kraal, a beautiful open air space to host your function on the farm.
